Ingredients:
- 50 g bicarbonate of soda
- 25 g citric acid
- 25 g Himalayan salt
- 1 tsp jojoba oil ( or any other vegetable oil)
- a few drops of your favorite essential oil
- dried lavender flowers or marigold for decor and not only
- a little water
- you can use colorants, such as hibiscus powder, Spiruline or cocoa
Mix in the bowl all the dry ingredients, except the dried flowers. Add the oil and mix until the mixture becomes wet. If you opted for a vegetable oil such as Shea butter you need to melt it on a bain-marie before adding it to the mixture. Add water, a bit at a time, until the mixture becomes soft enough to make it into bombs. Add the essential oil to the mixture and mix well, preferably by hand. The consistency should be similar to wet sand. If its too liquid you can fix it by adding starch.
Get the mixture into molds, you can use cupcake molds, but first add on the bottom dried lavender or mint for the decor. Press the mixture well into the mold to avoid damaging the shape afterwards. Carefully remove the bombs and leave them to dry for 2 days on absorbent kitchen towels.
Now you can place the bombs in wrapping foil to be gifted or store them in a sealed container. You can store them for up to 6 months.
